A MESSAGE FROM OUR ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

The Norton Award Winning Theater UnCorked, now going into its 8th season, is a Non-Union Boston small fringe theater group.

Formed in 2018 by Turkish American native, Sehnaz Dirik, a 40 year theater veteran from the Boston area, it rehearses in Boston and performs at the Plaza Theatres at the Boston Center for the Arts.

"At Theater UnCorked, our main focus isn't defined by a single genre. While we love switching between musicals, dramas, and comedies, our true anchor is producing bold, character-driven plots. For us, it's about characters who feel like real, flawed people, and finding actors who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty playing them. We do this by bringing each story to life with a powerful blend of seasoned professionals and vibrant younger actors. By putting these two generations together on stage, we get this incredible mix of veteran wisdom and fresh, raw energy where everyone ends up learning from each other.

Collaboration and opportunities for everyone and making sure EVERY single person involved has a VOICE in the process is our Mission Statement and will continue to be what moves us forward as a company.”
